Lamp of Hope Ministries was born from a profound desire to embody Christian principles of love, compassion, and service to others. Established in the heart of Sanford, Florida, USA, our organization has expanded its outreach to extend a helping hand to underserved communities in countries like Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
Through our diverse range of services, including light cleaning and laundry, transportation and errands, and daily activities at home, we strive to uplift families and individuals facing challenging circumstances. Our dedication to integrity, compassion, accountability, and client commitment is the cornerstone of our work.
Lamp of Hope Ministries envisions a world where no one is left hungry, where education is accessible to all, and where people feel safe and cared for. Lamp of Hope Ministries is a Christian, non-governmental, and non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate assistance to families and communities in need, without regard to religion, race, ethnic group, or gender. Our mission is to follow the example of Jesus, serving the homeless and transforming lives through various services and initiatives.

Our Main Support Actions
Over our 15-year existence in Seminole County, our organization, Lamp of Hope Ministries, has been actively engaged in providing critical support to those in need. Here are the key initiatives that define our commitment to making a positive impact:
Food for those in need
Food Pantry Agency
As a recognized Food Pantry Agency affiliated with the food bank, we have been steadfastly distributing food to over 260 families every Thursday for more than 14 years. Our dedication to alleviating hunger has earned us the prestigious honor of being named the 2021 Seminole County Agency of the Year and in 2022 we distributed 549,998 meals to families in central Florida to fight the hunger in the community.
Support for those in need
Help in Unfortunate or Street Situations
In times of financial distress and unfortunate circumstances, we extend a helping hand to individuals and families facing hardships. Our support includes financial assistance, food aid, job opportunities, help with housing rent or medical bills, clothing, furniture, and more. We also remain committed to continuously delivering essential supplies such as food, medicine, and clothing to those experiencing homelessness.
Help beyond our borders
Honduras and Dominican Republic
Beyond our local efforts, we extend humanitarian aid to regions affected by natural disasters and emergencies in Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Our outreach efforts include food delivery, medical assistance, and the construction of homes for the homeless.
In Honduras, we operate a dining room that provides daily meals to more than 100 children daily, while also distributing food to families on a weekly basis. Additionally, we send clothing, shoes, and coats to those in dire need, and support asylums and orphanages in their noble endeavors.
Moreover, we contribute to the betterment of education by providing financial transportation for children to remote schools and delivering essential school supplies, among other educational support activities.
Through our unwavering dedication to these support actions, Lamp of Hope Ministries continues to shine a beacon of hope and compassion, making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals and communities both locally and internationally.
